The pathways outlined here are common to the adrenals, the gonads and, to some extent, to the fetoplacental unit. The first committed step is the conversion of cholesterol to pregnenolone, catalysed by the P-450scc enzyme, which is under pituitary hormone control (ACTH or LH depending on the tissue). Cholesterol side-chain removal is blocked specifically by aminoglutethimide , a steroid biosynthesis inhibitor. From pregnenolone, steroid biosynthesis can proceed either through the so-called "delta-5" pathway (17α-hydroxypregnenolone, dehydroepiandrosterone, testosterone), or through the "delta-4" pathway (progesterone onwards). Progesterone is the starting point for mineralocorticoid synthesis, whereas glucocorticoids are derived from its metabolite, 17α-hydroxyprogesterone. Estrogens are formed from androgens (androstenedione and/or testosterone). Most reactions are irreversible (as denoted by a single arrow). Cells of the zona fasciculata and zona reticularis lack aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) that converts corticosterone to aldosterone, and thus these tissues produce only the weak mineralocorticoid corticosterone. However, both these zones do contain the CYP17A1 missing in zona glomerulosa and thus produce the major glucocorticoid, cortisol. Zona fasciculata and zona reticularis cells also contain CYP17A1, whose 17,20-lyase activity is responsible for producing the androgens, dehydroepiandosterone (DHEA) and androstenedione. Thus, fasciculata and reticularis cells can make corticosteroids and the adrenal androgens, but not aldosterone.

Developed by Organon, the original idea behind Sustanon-250 was to provide a testosterone form well-suited for hormone replacement therapy that would only needed to be administered once every few weeks and for all intense purposes the idea was a success. For the performance enhancing athlete Sustanon-250 can be a fine choice but the idea of injecting only once or twice a month is not applicable here. As a performance enhancer this testosterone like all forms will need to be administered on a more frequent basis. This mixture carries with it two fast, short esters, Propionate and Pheylpropionate, a longer more moderate ester Isocaproate and the very slow and long Decanoate ester. In order to keep testosterone levels stable and at their peak most athletes will inject Sustanon-250 at a minimum of every 3 days and more commonly every other day for optimal results.

All anabolic steroids suppress natural testosterone production. However, the rate of suppression often varies greatly from one steroid to the next. Although it does suppress natural testosterone production, Primobolan’s rate of suppression is much less dramatic than many anabolic steroids. In a therapeutic plan, it is actually possible to keep the total rate of suppression below 50%. This could be low enough to keep some from falling into a low level condition despite the reduction. You will find this is one of the easiest steroids to recover from when it comes to testosterone production. Most men are encouraged to implement a Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) plan once use is discontinued. This will speed the recovery process up. It will, however, not return you to normal on its own. This will still take time. However, a PCT plan will ensure you have enough testosterone for proper bodily function while your levels continue to naturally rise. Those who do not implement a PCT plan, while they may recover it will take far longer. There’s really no reason to forgo the PCT process if you’re going to be off cycle for any decent length of time.

An important note on natural testosterone recovery. Natural recovery assumes no prior low testosterone condition existed. It also assumes severe damage was not done to the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Testicular-Axis (HPTA) through improper steroidal supplementation practices.
